The first programme was in Los Angeles in 2000 – an introduction to Richard’s latest works –which left me with the overwhelming feeling that this was precisely what I had been looking for.
I had previously agreed with Richard that I would organise an introduction to this, his leading edge work, in Edinburgh and Dublin, so understanding it from the inside out before promoting it seemed smart. NHR, quite simply blew me away!
Ever since then we have hosted Richard’s specialist trainings, as he demonstrates pretty much how he actually works with his clients using his latest methodologies. NHR works with a person’s neurology and involves the enteric nervous system, utilising rapid change (whole body response). NHR works directly with the kinaesthetics, locking in change with hypnosis.
People often ask me how NHR is different to NLP or DHE and my response is that we can best understand the differences through exploration of the original questions that led to their developments:
The original NLP question was something like ‘how is it that, when exposed to the same stimulus, some people made positive change and others don’t?’ NLP therefore became the study of excellence, through the model of elegance, making the minimum changes for maximum results.
The original DHE question was something like ‘if humans can use negative motivational strategies to achieve great things then what is possible if we design leading edge strategies, from scratch, using everything we have?’
And the original NHR question seems the simplest of all; ‘how can people feel happy for no good reason – as a habit?’
Over the past 10 years, many specialist practitioners have reported wonderful changes in friends, families, colleagues, children and clients:
‘‘It’s a bit unfair; since I did NHR I have such an advantage because everything I do works really well’.’
‘With NHR you know you have had the experience but you can’t get back to the feelings – in fact every time you think about it, it just doesn’t matter anymore and I feel good anyway.’
‘If NLP is installing new software, NHR hacks straight into the hard drive’
For me, I can take just a few minutes – in a traffic jam or waiting in a queue. These skills allow you to bathe your neurology in feel good neuro-chemicals and say goodbye to feeling irritated, stressed or worried.
As we celebrate 10 years of annual NHR training in the UK (this year in Brighton), we also announce a break of at least 18 months as we change the cycle of training dates.
Hope to see you there because the more Richard learns, the easier it gets for the rest of us!
