NLP and hypnosis are intrinsically linked although some traditional hypnotists may not be aware of this. The combination of NLP and hypnosis provides the some of the most advanced hypnotic processes available. To understand why it’s useful to go back to the origins of NLP.
When the co-founders of NLP began to study excellence, the question they asked was how come some people go into a room and change occurs when others purportedly used the same techniques methodologies and processes made no such change. The answer lay in the behaviour and language of the successful therapists. Most hypnotists, hypnotherapists and hypnosis trainers only have access to some techniques. People trained in NLP have a framework that underpins both the why and the how of NLP Hypnosis.
Richard Bandler, the co-creator of NLP devised a methodology to utilise these behaviours and language patterns and called it Neuro Linguistic Programming because in the 1970’s it wasn’t possible for people who were not medics to practice hypnosis in some states in the USA.
Thanks to the advent of modern brain scanners, scientists have discovered that the human brain, under hypnosis enters into a particular state in which the brain can solve problems. So hypnosis creates powerful change and provides wonderful opportunities to eliminate fear and pain.
So now it’s time to make explicit what has been for so long implicit and take advantages of the advances in neuroscience and electronics so we can study the machine on the inside – our brain and neurology. Although some NLP training is still based on an already outdated version of NLP from the 1980’s, Richard Bandler has moved the field forward once again by going back to the hypnotic processes he discovered in the early years whilst at the same time studying and embracing the latest scientific knowledge about the human brain, body and neurology.
There is now an unprecedented opportunity to develop more sophisticated and powerful ways of working with people, whether this is in business, in therapy or in education and training or just for you! The latest developments are now Neuro-Hypnotic Repatterning (NHR), and NLP Hypnosis
2015 is a special year as there are several opportunities to train in the latest technologies of NLP. There are no fewer than three courses which are perfect for learning. The first is in May 2015, namely: Hypnosis as an application of NLP in Amsterdam. Later in the year, in October 2015 there are two special programmes in Brighton, U.K., Neuro Hypnotic Repatterning and the unique Altered States, Shamanic States and Basic Brain Exploration.
